Students are indulging in quite a lot of distractions these days such as the internet, social media platforms, mobile phones, etc. The reason behind this distraction is that they enjoy it a lot. These distractions to a student seem relatable and familiar, hence it has grown much more interesting to the youth nowadays. And this somewhere leads to an addiction blocking the productivity which is needed in a student’s life. When a student realizes the situation, they are already in a difficult state to progress.

To overcome such a situation, there exists a simple solution i.e. A student needs to connect their goal/ target to a steady vision that is as interesting as the distractions. For example – Try to remember your dream college, dream job or maybe a house you wish to buy someday, basically something that motivates you to achieve your goal and is as interesting and fun as the distractions are.

Another problem a student faces is that they struggle to stay motivated throughout the journey. They do stay motivated for sometime but eventually it lessens. To solve this issue one can have a vision board which reminds one of their goals each and every time they lose hope. This vision board can be a pictorial representation of your goals or dreams. This board can effectively help remind of the dream whenever a student feels demotivated.

A small tip that can be considered helpful is the 5 minute rule, one must at least take 5 minutes in a day to retrospect and analyze their ways of working towards the dream. Think and analyze what needs to be changed and where you’re going wrong, learn from it and make the necessary changes if needed.

Also remember that Today’s pain is Tomorrow’s gain, the more you work today the better will be your tomorrow. So work for your dreams today to make sure that your tomorrow is planned the way you see it to be.
