Mathematics in Everyday Life
Construction – Math is the basis of construction work as it requires a lot of calculations for budgeting, measurements, estimating costs, setting targets, etc.
Exercising and Training – How do I gain some weight? What amount of protein do I need? How much time will it take to gain? All such questions are the base of calculations that we do while exercising or training for a specific body type.
Budget Planning – How much do I need to save to get a new car? Should I save more? How will I pay my EMIs before I turn 35? Such question types are a part of simple math. These are some questions that come to our mind on an everyday basis. Also we prepare a budget on the basis of these simple math fundamentals.
Cooking & Baking – For cooking or baking, we need to follow a certain number of steps that involves ingredients with specific quantities to be used and different time spans to cook different ingredients too. Such ways are based on simpler mathematical concepts.
Sports – Math is responsible for our cognitive growth and decision-making skills. Such skills play a crucial role in a sports person’s life so as to make the correct decisions and well calculated estimations on the sports field.
Time Management – As an individual, one needs to manage their time in an effective way to assign a given amount of time to a specific task. Understanding the basis of math not only helps us to manage time but also helps us to value it.
Driving – ‘Time’, ‘Speed’ and ‘Distance’ are three most important aspects of Arithmetic, which are the facets of driving irrespective of the mode of transportation.
Weather Forecasting – The weather forecasting is based on probability, another principle of mathematics. The weather is predicted through this whether it’s going to be sunny, windy, cloudy, rainy, etc.
Base of other subjects – Other subjects like chemistry, physics, accountancy, history, economics, statistics, etc in fact every subject in a way is based on math. Remember that this is the only subject that does not leave you ever.
There are many other everyday uses of the subject mathematics such as in industries, music, problem-solving skills, marketing, video games, hospitals, computer applications, and many more but the above discussed are some major purposes in which math is used.
